Mehr über Margit Bilkes Kunstwerke Traum vom Fliegen
The series of paintings reflects the dream of flying. It journeys from the first flight attempts, through the history of the Zeppelin and ballooning, to the view through the clouds. Today, technology offers humans the opportunity to look beyond the clouds into space.
As a first step, the painter creates an expressive abstract foundation on the white canvas using oil paint, a spatula, and a paint roller. The chosen colors and overlapping or intersecting color fields become integral elements when painting the motif.
