Über Michèle Mahys Naturbilder
Michèle Mahy’s painting is instinctive and spontaneous. She gives free rein to her emotions, expressing her current state of mind through gestural movements. Her colorful, abstract works may be perceived as figurative by some viewers who seek representational elements. The materials and textures she uses on the canvas—such as sand, sawdust, gel, impasto, and fabrics—evoke nature, travel, and everyday life.
For the artist, painting induces a state of inner calm and serenity, fully immersing her in the present moment. The outside world fades into the background as her hands, brushes, rags, and other tools come alive in the creative process.
