Vita Eddy Tornado - Stadtbilder
Eddy Tornado
Eddy Tornado is a Brussels-based artist whose visual worlds emerge at the intersection of drawing, painting, and urban fantasy. For many years, he has moved confidently across various disciplines - from illustration and comics to music and the fine arts.
His paintings depict cities at night: architectural bodies of light and shadow inhabited by silent figures. Clean lines, minimalist forms, and vibrant yellows give his work a high degree of recognition and an almost cinematic atmosphere.
While these cityscapes spring from his imagination, they carry real traces within them - fragments of Brussels, memories of Johannesburg. The works feel like large-scale sketches: intentionally open, vivid, and full of movement. It is an exhibition that brings urban energy into a space without ever overcrowding it.

THE WORK
His style is defined by a high degree of recognition, characterized by graphic lines, striking characters, and urban landscapes. Cities - and always, cities. Although these motifs spring entirely from the artist’s imagination, they are unmistakably shaped by Brussels, the city he has called home for over 20 years.
The pieces presented here are conceived as large-scale sketches. Upon closer inspection, the viewer can discover intricate details and fragments drawn from both Brussels and Johannesburg.
