About the art of Marje Evgenija Koch
In my series I explore the reinterpretation of stripes in my artwork. These striped paintings, called Stripes, reference Russian military insignia. Overall, my artistic work is influenced by a mixture of personal experiences, social events and political developments. Through my works I want to build a bridge between the past and the present, while providing a platform to reflect on and encourage dialogue about important issues.
