About the art of Holger Figge
Holger Figge’s **modern works** are inspired by figurative motifs, which he transforms into a largely abstract form. The result is dynamic, flat compositions that are characterized by a deliberate restraint in color and often enhanced with graphic symbols.
By incorporating collage elements and materials such as earth or ash, the third dimension gains significance in his modern images. Color and material are applied in various consistencies using spatulas, brushes, and hands, often even sprayed on, creating vibrant, textured surfaces.
