About the art of Walter Kaufmann
Mr. Kunkler from the Artodrome Berlin/Beijing gallery says of Walt’s works:
"Walt’s paintings range from the area of ??figurative representation to abstraction and form a well-thought-out interplay between these two poles of artistic expression. His proximity to Picasso is unmistakable, although his path of artistic development is completely independent. In the so-called "color hugs - 3d" pictures, the artist seeks to combine figurative and abstract design elements into a harmonious whole. Abstractions are brought closer to the viewer through repeatedly incorporated figurative elements. In this, people form Walt’s thematic and emotionally inspired focus, which he seeks to capture in all its facets. In idiosyncratic color contrasts that nevertheless support the individual interplay of representational and abstract design in a harmonious way, the artist has succeeded in developing his own and extremely interesting visual language."
