Biography of Mathias Heins
Tias is a trained stained glass artist and scenic painter. For several years now, he has been working independently as an illustrator, set designer, and visual artist.
In addition to his impressionistic interpretation of landscapes in oil, Tias has focused primarily on **abstract acrylic painting**. In this non-representational art form, his craftsmanship truly comes into its own.

About the art of Mathias Heins
"In this series, I chose to work with abstract acrylic painting. In my commissioned work, I usually have to produce representational pieces, so with this project, I fulfilled a long-held wish to explore abstraction. The paintings are based on rough sketches in which I deliberately tried to avoid clear interpretability.
While sketching, I used music mostly jazz and classical to get into the right mood and draw inspiration from it. This influence is also reflected in some of the titles of the works."
