Biography of Marit Symalla
I have been creating professional animal portraits for over 13 years. During my training as a design assistant, I learnt a lot about the different styles and designs. During this time, I also started volunteering at the Dresden animal shelter. As a result, my passion for animal portraits grew stronger and stronger. Over the years I have taken part in several exhibitions (group and solo exhibitions) and have continued to develop my skills.

About the art of Marit Symalla
Animals live in the moment. That very idea inspired my exhibition "Office Dogs", as life today moves at such a fast pace. We’re often already thinking about the next thing while still doing something else. I spend a lot of time outdoors with my dogs, and I truly enjoy those pauses — moments to disconnect from everyday life and simply be present in the here and now.
My exhibition "Office Dogs" is meant to bring joy into the workday. These cheerful four-legged companions are known to have a positive effect on people and help reduce stress.
