About the art of Annette Marx
The central theme of my **abstract works** is the exploration of color, with a particular emphasis on the color red. It is about capturing color within imagined spaces, following the moods evoked by subjective realities, and transforming mental spaces into realms of color.
Impulsive color constellations combined with lines are my primary design elements. Expressive use of color dominates, relying on the spatially formative power of color. Lines, playfully hinted at and irregularly shaped, invite the viewer to follow and complete them, sometimes evolving into almost discernible pictorial elements. This creates a delicate balance between representation and abstraction.
In this way, spaces of stillness and spaces full of dynamism emerge, filled with the interplay of vibrant colors.
Movement, color, and form facilitate a dialogue between the artwork and the viewer. They invite you to enter and experience the realm of color and autonomous visual worlds.
