Biography of Hanna Liebau
1963 born in Northern Germany
Studied textile design in Münchberg (Fh-Coburg) in 1986
Studied fashion design at the FH-Hannover for art and design in 1989
Courses in free painting with Prof. Verena Vernunft
Degree: Diploma 1994
Since 1989, alongside her studies and later her profession, she has been creating large-format paintings in oil and acrylic, graphic works and watercolours as well as sculptures.
The artistic works are characterised by a particularly lively colourfulness and painted with an energetic brushstroke, which gives the figurative, representational and abstract colour paintings a dynamic and moving effect.
The first plant painting was created in 2002. The motif is shown enlarged as if under a microscope. In 2008, the plant pictures became a nature series with expressively painted flower and landscape motifs.
The artist is showing a selection of these in this exhibition.
The presentation of the beautiful-looking plant and flower pictures is a particular concern for the artist in order to draw attention to a more responsible approach to our environment and nature.
Solo exhibitions and participations in the Kunstverein Bad Rehburg, Söhlde, Hanover and Würzburg as well as many paintings in private and company ownership.
