About the art of Van Soens
The representational art of Eric Van Soens often feels like a sequence from a dream:
A herd of white horses gallops into the light. Doves fly through a spiraling staircase toward the sky. A woman balances on a railing, while men in suits appear to stand nearby on a stairway but they are only sketched, almost translucent, just like the woman walking across the black-and-white checkered floor.
Where are the boundaries between reality and dream?
