Biography of Sylvana Poll
Born in 1971 in Lutherstadt Eisleben
- 1992 - 1997 Studied **Business Administration**, graduated as **Diplom-Kauffrau**
- 2004 - 2012 Acquired **basic painting skills** as a self-taught artist through various **workshops** on acrylic painting, collage techniques, and life drawing, including at **Die Bonner Malschule** and Academy Kloster Steinfeld**
- 2013 - 2016 Three-year **intensive study of painting and drawing** at the **freie Kunstakademie arte fact, Bonn
Sylvana Poll lives in Bad Honnef and is a member of the **Königswinter Artists’ Association**.

About the art of Sylvana Poll
With her series "By the Pond", the artist takes the viewer on a journey past "small water landscapes" she encountered while hiking and strolling. One can see reeds, grasses, water lilies, branches, and leavesboth on and beneath the water’s surface.
Fragments of "blue sky, trees, and other reflections shimmer on the water. However, the movement of the water and the way light refracts create an abundance of intriguing shapes and lines.
To capture this effect, she combines her realistically painted acrylic scenes with abstract elements an attempt to encapsulate this microcosm and invite the viewer to discover their own little worlds.
