Nikolaus Hirschmann
Nikolaus Hirschmann, born in 1953, is the "Creation Officer" of the Platypus World. Though he initially studied photography, he soon realized that his talents lay elsewhere. As a person of diverse interests and a free spirit, he turned to painting in the 1980s, dedicating a portion of his daily life to it ever since.
In Hirschmann’s studio (or diplomatic mission), various series of paintings in different formats are created. The Platypus series, in particular, is inspired by a joy in the "whatever..." and humor, which, as we know, helps one to face everything with composure.
(Should you be interested or require assistance with an assessment:) Hirschmann’s works have been exhibited in numerous galleries internationally over the years, and many of his paintings are held in private collections from Bregenz to New York.
Über Nikolaus Hirschmanns Schnabeltiere
And in the West? Only new insights into the parallel world of the platypus creatures, made visible by Nikolaus Hirschmann. **Platypuses**, as Hirschmann calls them, inhabit a existence that is perhaps only a fraction of a second away from our perception of time. These beings appear to resemble us, Homo sapiens, in many ways. The images that have been made public so far suggest that there are only three main distinguishing characteristics: Platypuses prefer more color, they have no problem being exactly as they are, they love life/planet sharing, and they are immune to fake news. Wait, that’s four characteristics? Oops.
